Mobile App Development

We design and build apps for iPhone, Android or both. Notifications, real-time updates and store submission are part of the work.

What we build

We build apps for iPhone, Android or both. We design the screens first, so you see the app before it is built. Then we build it and take it through to store launch. You review the screens before we build them.

Apps send notifications and show real-time updates, so people see the latest information as it changes. We add offline and poor-connection support where the app needs it. We start from how people use the app, including on a weak connection.

We submit the app to the stores and keep it updated after launch. One team covers design, build and store launch.

What every app includes

  • Apps for iPhone, Android or both, chosen to match your users
  • Offline and poor-connection support for places with a weak signal
  • Notifications and real-time updates that keep people informed
  • Store submission and ongoing updates after launch

When an app is the right choice

Choose an app when people use it daily, on the move, or need alerts on their phones, or when your users expect to find you in the app stores. Choose a web app when a browser is enough.

Some products need both. We have built a web portal and a mobile app on one platform for administrators, teachers and parents. Administrators use the web portal, and parents and teachers use the app. In the free session we ask who the users are, where they use the app and what they do most often. That decides which features come first.

Not sure you need an app at all? Bring the idea to the free session, and we will compare it with a web app. We will also recommend iPhone, Android or both.

How a project runs

From first call to launch, in four steps.

  1. Talk

A free session to understand what you need and who it is for.

You get: A clear summary of the goal.

  2. Plan and quote

We turn the goal into a written plan with scope and cost.

You get: A written plan and a quote.

  3. Build in milestones

We build in stages and show you working software along the way.

You get: A working version to review at each milestone.

  4. Launch and support

We release it, then fix issues and ship updates as you need them.

You get: A live product and ongoing support.

Common questions

Do you build for iPhone, Android or both?

Any of the three. We build apps for iPhone, Android or both. We recommend one or both in the free session, based on your users and budget. Building for both makes sense when your users are split between the two. Tell us who your users are and which phones they carry.

Do you publish the app to the app stores?

Yes. We submit your app to the app stores and ship updates after launch. Store submission is part of the work, and we plan it with you in the written plan.

Will the app work on a weak connection?

We build offline and poor-connection support into apps that need it. In the free session, we decide which features must keep working without a signal. Tell us where your users work, and we plan around it.

Do you update the app after launch?

Yes. We fix issues, ship updates and add features as your needs change. Updates reach your users through the app stores.

Tell us who the app is for. We will say whether iPhone, Android or both fits.
