Sales Returns
The Sales Returns module manages the process of customers returning items for a refund or store credit. It links returns directly to the original sale invoice to ensure pricing consistency and prevents over-refunding.
Sales Returns Dashboard
The dashboard provides a historical log of all processed returns. The header displays SALES RETURNS with breadcrumbs (Home > Sales > Returns). You can quickly initiate a new return via the + Create Return button.
Returns Table
The table displays key information for each return transaction:
Filters & Search
Use the search bar to find returns by number or customer name. The Filters button reveals options to isolate returns by:
- Date Range — Filter returns processed within a specific timeframe.
- Customer — View returns associated with a specific registered account.
Real-World Use Cases
- Quality Control Analysis: Tracking returned items over time to identify if a specific batch of products has an abnormally high defect rate.
- Fraud Prevention: Auditing return transactions to ensure cashiers aren't processing unauthorized cash refunds.
Column Customization
The Columns settings allow you to toggle additional data points:
- # (Serial Number) — Simple row index.
- Items — Shows the quantity of items returned in the transaction.
